Wrap

Wow. Wow. Wow. It has been a fantastic 24 hours encountering, experiencing and engaging with God.

Special thanks to those who did stations- Diane, Helen, Bupp, Alf, Sian, Crystal and Jason and to the Kalos Youth for leading the corporate time of prayer on Saturday night so well.

We'll post the photos from the time on the BCC website shortly.

In the words so delicately spoken on saturday- "let's wrap it up now"

i loved it but was not allowed to sleep here!! so unfair but great overall
Fantastic to be culminating this 24 hours with a rejoicing, exuberant congregation! Hallelujah - we are free in Jesus and crazily celebrating together!

About 5.30pm

The room is so full of You: so peaceful and yet noisy with the laughter of children.
How can it be peaceful and noisy?
How can it be full and empty?
How can one be alone and in a crowd?
How can life be so compliated and yet so simple?
How can I have so many questions and yet know You are the answer.
The presence of God is awesome in this place. God is loving it! And so am I!
I want to stay here forever in the presence of God, away from the distractions of the world. But I know that it is not possible so I will take it out with me in to the world.

As the snow falls outside and the wind howls to sit by the side of a cold blowing fan seems strange. But it is strangely good to sit by the fan feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit blowing on to me whilst smelling the aroma of His presence through the herbs.

Being here I learn once again that God's agenda is the best. To spend time with Him beats anything else.

As I light a candle to bring light into a place of doubt I choose once again to hold on to the promise that God will never leave me emptyhanded. With God I can live in place of abundance.
what a wonderful time to be still ,to be quiet,to feel the love of God flow.it is so beautiful to share what God is putting on other people's hearts ,and to add to the prayers.Thank you .
How wonderful to come into a place where the presence of God is all around. No agendas, no time limits, no distractions, just me and God. I can spend as long as I choose seeking his heart for my community, cities and nations, whilst God does a much needed and deep work in me, awakens my heart to feel again, for myself, for him and for his people. I leave, I want to come back, I leave, I want to return again. The noise and insanity of life is out there, the people seeking and searching, in all the wrong places, in all the wrong things, thinking, believing they are sorted. Lord if they just had one small part of what I have experienced, felt, knew of you, would they not hunger for more. Lord continue to show us, teach us how to live in this for the always, not just this moment in time, so it does not become some distant and wonderful memory of what could have been.

This week God has been speaking to me about new wine. He cannot put new wine into old wineskins - simply because the old wineskin will burst. So He puts new wine into NEW wineskins.

For some of us He will need to pour out the wine that is still in the old wineskins so that we will not be able to hold on to the old. When there is nothing left we will become thirsty and what is available to us is the NEW wine.

Change is happening around us - new wineskins are being sewn, new wine is being poured in!

What a fantastic place to be when I feel inadequate and unsorted. God's promise is to fill the hungry with good things, not the satisfied!

I have the aroma of crushed herbs on my fingertips. Hoping God will sense that sweet incense as I offer myself in my brokenness.

Many waters

Many waters cannot quench Gods love

7am

As we gather to pray God is so close, the air is thick with His presence

5:45am

An amazing sense of Gods peace and comfort in this place

4.45am

I'm so struck by the presence of God here at the moment. It just feels like he's been waiting for us to be here. waiting in excitement to share himself with us- if we will just take the time. and allow im.

Holy Wind of God

Just before 3am I was starting to feel exhausted. Panic was having a field day. I then lit a candle. I was led to the area I had avoided all night! Whose idea had it been anyway, it is so cold and this fan just keeps going on and on. 'Why not just leave it off and switch it on during the day- just some of the ungracious thoughts going on in my head! Well, as soon as I got there I realised it was not cold - it was refreshing! I picked a herb and welcomed the Holy Spirit. I feel like I can go for 2 more days!

The Holy Wind of God gave me second wind! Where is the thoughtful person who came up with this idea- I want to hug them. Better still, Jesus please hug them for me. Give them a barrel of the sweet new wine!

Helen's painting

It's just gone 3.30am and Helen has finished the painting she has been working on for the start of 24hop. It's a canvas version of a skecth she had in a worship time at BCC several weeks ago reflecting a desire for our hearts. We've left it on the stand for people to look at.

For the joy

I have been really moved by the passage that talks about: for the joy set before him Jesus endured the cross. As we were worship I was aware that I (and we) are part of that joy that sustained Jesus in his journey to and through the cross. What a humbling and overwhelming feeling.

You did it for me

Words are insufficient to express my response to what You did for me. Thank you Jesus.

Jesus on the cross

Am reminded of how much it cost for Jesus to give His life for us. Thankyou simply isn't words enough to express the depth of gratitude.
